Patty Luker, CEO/Administrator of Dr. John Warner Hospital, has been appointed to serve on the Illinois Hospital Association’s (IHA) 2006 Small and Rural Hospitals’ Constituency Section Steering Committee.

The committee is composed of more than 30 hospital delegates representing the small and rural hospitals throughout the state.  The constituency section addresses the unique concerns of rural Illinois hospitals with fewer than 150 beds.

The policy procedure of IHA requires ongoing input from its members.  The steering committee assures an exchange of information among small and rural hospitals and between hospitals and the IHA.  One of their purposes is to assist the hospitals in the promotion of the health and welfare of the communities they serve.

IHA, a not-for-profit organization, is an advocate for Illinois hospitals and health systems and the communities they serve.
