Dr. John Warner Auxiliary The Dr. John Warner Hospital Auxiliary was organized March 3, 1965 for the purpose of providing volunteer services for the benefit of all patients served by the Hospital. Over the years, the Auxiliary has donated a total of over $190,397 to the Hospital, including $75,000 for new equipment to update the technology necessary in providing health care today. The Auxiliary also provides educational equipment for the staff and general public in CPR classes held at the Hospital. The Hospital has provided support to the Lifeline Program since 1982. The Lifeline Program enables our senior and disabled citizens to remain independent in their own homes. Over the last 14 years the membership has expended approximately $42,000 to purchase additional units and to upgrade other units. Today the Hospital volunteers help in a variety of ways such as delivering mail throughout the hospital; performing clerical tasks in various hospital departments; staffing the Hospital's gift shop; serving as officers and chairing committees; and, providing assistance when a special need arises in the hospital. The Auxiliary is an organization that unselfishly gives of themselves so that others may benefit. Through their own efforts, the Christmas Gift Cards given to the needy is one of our most cherished projects.
Each year the Auxiliary funds up to four scholarships to aid qualified persons (male or female) who are seeking a program of study for a health care career, medical or paramedical. The following scholarships will be offered:
Further information and application forms are available at the front Reception/Admitting Desk of the Dr. John Warner Hospital. Completed applications must be returned no later than May 15 of each year.
